Meet Lauren

Painter | Illustrator | Muralist

Lauren Weed is an artist originally from the West cost of the USA, but is now currently based in the North Carelia region of Finland.

As the daughter of a designer, Lauren spent many late nights “borrowing” her mom’s theory books while growing up. She is self-taught in artistry, with a degree in counseling psychology and certified as a birthworker. Her style celebrates the beauty of color and humanity.

She enjoys working within her local communities, completing designs for the local library, commissioned murals for town residents, tattoo designs, and portraits.

Lauren has a zeal for the art that she creates and is grateful for the connective power that art holds within both personal and community spaces.

“I love to create pieces that are felt far past what is seen. Whether it be through colorful landscapes or joyful vignettes, every piece is an exploration of life and nature.” -Lauren
